We are going on Outreach!
Well our school is over. We just finished our last week of lecture. Now we are going on our main outreach to Mwanza. Im really excited to see what God has in store for us. It will be very interesting. The DTS staff told us about how stict these people are. We cannot evangelize unless we are dressed up in dress clothes. Our staff leader told us that if you arent dressed up and you start talking about how much God can save you, they will say, "well maybe he needs to help you first and get you nice clothes". She also said if we are in jeans and a t- shirt and say "praise the Lord", and try and preach they will completely shut their hearts to us. The pastors will only let our DTS School Leader or base leader preach in their church because they dont know us. This is going to be a very challenging and difficult situation, but I know the Lord has already gone before us to prepare the hearts of the people in Mwanza. Please pray for our team daily. And just pray that God will reveal things to us through this whole experience and that Gods hand will move over this area. That people can just openly recieve Him and turn their lives around. Thank You all and God Bless. Ill be home soon!

A late update
Okay again i am very sorry for not updating this thing often. But ill give you all an update. We split up our class in half because its too big to do outreach all together, so last week (the week of november 11th to the 18th) My outreach group was in Usa River. No not U.S.A. Its pronounced Oo sa River. So basically it was the bush bush. No electricity, no running water, you had to walk to one of the little rivers, LOTS of mosquitos, and very very hot. It was a very good week. I learned a lot on how people really live out in Tanzania, because the majority of the people here dont have electricity, etc. It was a very humbling experience. We do prayer in the morning, then we do door to door ministry just sharing the word of God to people. Wewill pray with them if they except, and we invite them to the crusades we were having. I was forced by my leader to sing in swahili a couple of songs by myself, but that was really cool. We ate loads of sugar cane. Usa River has sugar cane growing EVERYWHERE!!! Ok and we would also do our crusades everyday, and we would have our own little prayer, worship, and sharing the word time for just us DTS students. Then at night time we did revival meetings. I had to preach on saturday. That made me a bit nervous because i have never preached before. So i just gave a bit of my testimony and just shared the grace of God with people and just said what He has done in my life. I was nervous up until the moment i went infront of people and the Holy Spirit just calmed my heart from there. Then this last week we had class again and we learned about the Heart and Character of Jesus Christ and the Cross, and about the Holy Spirit. I think this week was the best lecture week of all because you could just tell that the Holy Spirit was teaching through this man Tony and it just really spoke to us this week. He opened a lot of our minds to the fact that our old lives died with Christ on the Cross and we are really seated with Him. And that God isnt against us when we sin, but with us against our sin. And Also that the Holy Spirit is a person and we cant neglect the Holy Spirit because he is who gives us revelation about God, and allows us to interperet and hear from God. So it was a very powerful week. We FINALLY found out where we are going on our main outreach, and that is to Mwanza, Tanzania. Its very north of Tanzania. It is the second biggest city in Tanzania next to Dar Es Salaam, which is the capital of Tanzania. So we are very excited. Its a 14 hour drive from Arusha to Mwanza, but we get to drive throught the serengeti. so that will be fun. So we all need your daily prayers that God just strengthens us and that n one gets malaria because there are many many mosquitos there. And also today someone tried reaching in my pocket to steal my cell phone today while i was waiting for the Dala dala. But i felt him and put my hand over my pocket and he acted like he didnt do anything, so that was exciting. But God has revealed, i believe, plans that He wants for me, so please pray for me about that, because i feel like God is caling me to the Wyoming YWAM base, maybe staffing on their DTS. Which means i will be able to go do ministry in other countries for every DTS class. So just see if you feel that it's really from God. Thank you all and God Bless you all

A Quite Exciting Update
Well, where to start. I will start with a couple of weeks ago. I had a filling in my tooth that had come out, and so I needed to get it refilled. So i went to a dentist that is one of the better ones a little outside of town. When i sat down, the dentist grabs the drill and says, "ok, open up." I was shocked, I was like, " You are gunna drill my mouth now?!? Isn't that going to hurt?" The dentist says, " No, no pain." Ok ya right no pain! I thought I was going to die when he started drilling my tooth with out novocaine. Then he asked me if I wanted a shot and i was like Oh yes i do. And then my tooth was fix. But boy howdy that was an experience. And this week we did a mini outreach in Arusha town. We stayed at a church called All Nations. But the church is in the process of being built, so we slept in tents on the church property. It was a really good week. We did door to door ministry, just sharing the Word of God to people. I believe about 6 people got saved and that was just with the one group out of 5 or 6 that we had going around to different areas of Arusha. This church is surrouned by 7 mosque's, 1 sikh temple, and 1 hindu temple. On wednesday, 6 of us had gone to a restaurant that was right across the street from the building in front of the church. Well the other 4 had left because Jordan and i had to take a restroom break before we went back. We didnt know the other 4 were leaving. So we just walked back to the church. On the way back we had to go between these buildings. Well there were 7 guys walking towards us and all of a sudden they grabbed Jordan and i noticed and started to run, and i screamed. LIKE A GIRL! then they grabbed me. They held knives to our throats and told us that they were gunna kill us. They stole our wallets, which had our drivers lisence, money, and copies of our passports. They also stole both of our watches, and they also ripped my necklace off of my neck. They didnt take it off. Oh no, they ripped is off of my neck. And it hurt. They didnt hurt us other then just choking us to hold us still. God totally had his protection around us during that. Once i saw the knife and they took me to the ground i just started praying and God was definately in our presence. So for those of you at home reading this who have been continually praying for me, please pray that God just continues to protect us. Well thats all i have time for. I will right more soon about this week, but i have to go.

IM SORRY
Alright everyone. Im very sorry I haven't posted anything for a while. The power always goes our which means no internet. And i just haven't had very much time. I tried to upload pictures on this page last time but for some reason it didnt work. So if you would like to see some pictures you can go on my friends webpage www.flickr.com/peanutbrittle and see some pictures he has taken. Sorry for the inconvenience. And im sorry for those who look at this all the time and have seen nothing new. So basically we have just been doing classes with a different theme each week. None of us can believe that we have actually been here for 5 weeks already. Time is going by so quickly. Ok, I will write about some of the people that are in my DTS with me. We have 4 other fellow Americans on this DTS. There is a young married couple who are from Washington state, one guy from Indiana, and one more guy from Texas. There is also a girl from Germany, and one guy from Finland, and another from Sweden. There are about 10 Tanzanians and 10 Kenyans also. Not all of us speak English so the DTS is in English and in Swahili. Its very interesting and really cool to see how we communicate with eachother even though we dont speak the same language. There is a lot of pointing, miming, and yelling. I dont particularly understand why everyone, including myself, think that by yelling it might make them understand you. Its quit funny. We are all like a big family here and its amazing to be surrounded by people who share the same love for God as you have. We will be doing a mini 3 day outreach camping in Massai Land. (which is just one of the areas where the Massai people live.) other than that, that is all thats been going on. Just keep praying for all of us. That would be great. Thank you all. Love you

Prayer and Support
Youth With A Mission has a pre- school and primary school here in Arusha called New Vision School. They are in the proccess of building a bigger school because it is too small. God has provided so much here in Arusha and has givent he vision of this new school to be buit. It will have a 2 story building that will include a daycare type place, a pre- school and the main offices. Then they are building a second building for a primary school, another one for secondary school, and also a dorm room for the students of the secondary school. To finish this project it will cost a total of $400,000 US dollars. YWAM's hope is that all the children of Arusha will be able to grow up in these schools where their main focus is putting their trust in God. I will have pictures up a little later of the buliding in process and the land that the rest of the buldings are on. If you can all pray for this bulding and if you would like to donate money you can definately do that as well. If God speaks to you in your prayers about this building and the schools please let us know. It would be greatly appreciated. We start most of our real learning in this next week. The first week was mostly just Introductions and what YWAM stands for and believes. May God Bless you and may His face shine upon you. Thank you all who have supported me and keep me in your prayers. And thank God for the opportunity He has Blessed me with. The last 2 months is going to be my major evangelism outreach and i cant wait to see what God has prepared. I wish i could talk because typing is a bit exhausting. OK. good bye. Love you all. and im not home sick yet.

IM HERE!!!
So i got to tanzania about 3 nights ago. I havent been able to write in this because my time is limited and to find an internet signal is quit challenging. I praise God for getting me here safely. This country is absolutely beautiful and the people of Tanzania are so welcoming. Once i arrived to kiimanjaro The Lyaro family picked me up and let me stay a night at there place in Moshi. It was really interesting because they live in a village, so there isnt as muc technology as in other places. For instence they boil water and put it in a bucket then you put cold water in there to make it warm, and i had to poor the water over me with a cup. But it was really cool to experience. I am so excited to see what kinds of things we are going to do. And God is just in these people and its amazing to be around and have such encouragement. alright well my computer is dying so i must say goodbye. i will try and write more tomorrow.
